OUR COURSES

Hippolyglot offers a wide range of courses to help students find the option that suits them the best. Every course is different and carefully prepared in line with the parameters agreed with the students. All our courses are designed to fulfil our students’ expectations and to meet their needs throughout the learning process.

In this section you will find more information about the class design process and the different categories in which we have classified our classes, considering two main aspects: The class type, referring to the number of students per class; and the class frequency, referring to the amount of lessons per week. Courses fees vary depending on the categories chosen.

CLASS DESIGN PROCESS

In order to design each student’s dream class they must follow the following simple but essential steps:

1. SET THEIR GENERAL GOAL

Are you studying to travel, to take a test, to improve your grades, to move abroad, to increase your cultural awareness or job opportunities? The purpose behind learning the target language is the core aspect of each class.

2. SET THEIR MAIN SKILL OF FOCUS

There are four skills to learning a language: Speaking, listening, writing, and reading. Nevertheless, students are not always seeking to improve the same skills equally. Setting a general goal will allow students to determine as well, in which skill they would like to center more attention. For instance, if they are learning to travel, speaking will be more necessary than writing.

3. CHOOSE THE APPROPRIATE LEARNING TOOLS

Not only do students have a different goal in mind, but also they learn in different ways. What works for some, may not be the right way for others. For this reason, we propose a variety of activities in categories like visual and audio content, grammar charts, vocabulary flash cards, extra reading material, among others; to help students learn the language with ease and in an enjoyable way for them.

4. CHOOSE THE CLASS TYPE

Hippolyglot offers three different types of class depending on the number of people:

Private

One on one lesson with the teacher. Boost your confidence and motivation, and avoid any distractions with the individual lessons.

Semi-Private

Lessons for two people. Receive the one on one type of attention, while being able to interact with someone else sharing the same learning journey.

Groups

How do we individualized group classes? Many students find advantages in sharing the learning journey with others because of the added benefits that bring communicating with a few more people, other than the instructor.  Students in groups are allocated in accordance with their main goal, we maintain the personalized approach through the Hippolyglot Learning Cycle, and we limit the number of  participants to 5 people per group.

5. CHOOSE THE CLASS FREQUENCY

Students also decide how many hours per week they wish to invest to learn the new language. Hippolyglot offers the following classes:

Standard

One class a week consisting of two UE (45 min each). Learn the language at a comfortable an easy pace with 1.5 hours of class per week.

Semi-intensive

Two classes a week consisting of two UE (45 min each). Immerse yourself a bit more in the language if you have 3 hours a week.

Intensive

Three classes a week consisting of two UE (45 min each). For students up to a challenge. Faster pace program to suit students wanting to achieve their goal quickly, investing 4.5 hours per week.

Super-intensive

Five classes a week consisting of two UE (45 min each). Students in a race to learn the language as fast as they can. Total immersion in the target language, with classes equivalent to 7.5 hours per week.

Once students have participated in the designing of their course, by making all the relevant decisions, we carefully choose the material and design the activities to work in class, in line with the parameters agreed. Then, the students receive the material at home and the classes begin!

* Material is included in the hourly fee, provided the length of the entire course is no less than 7 months for Standard Classes, 4 months for Semi-intensive Classes, 3 months for Intensive Classes, and 2 months for Super-intensive Classes.
