OUR STORY

Hippolyglot is a brand new Online Language School, founded in 2021 by Colombian-born and Sorbonne alumna Paula Schwab. Having lived, studied and taught in numerous countries and in different languages, she set up to start a present-day pedagogical approach, with the collective of her own experiences both, while learning and teaching languages. Her exposure to the same conditions students encounter, guided the founding principles of the Hippolyglot class: Accesible, personalized, and dynamic.  

What does Hippolyglot mean? The name Hippolyglot, on the one hand, stands for the submersion into creative forces symbolized by the “hippopotamus” and on the other hand, for the ability to use or speak several languages represented by the term “Polyglot”. In Hippolyglot we talk about creativity while learning, because we expect students to participate in the design process of their own course content. It is our prerogative to adjust the class according to the students’ needs, but also according to the individual way in which they easily learn.
